The DayCor Superb is a full solar blind bi-spectral corona camera. The DayCor Superb visualizes superficial UV partial discharge and produces still and video images (in real time). The optical zoom, gain controls and auto/manual focus features allow the operator to complete the survey's quickly and accurately. Direct access to controls, via a keyboard, make the camera’s operation simple and intuitive. The DayCor system comes complete with a test device, ergonomic harness, multiple battery packs with charger, removable SD memory card suitable for 5 days work, USB to SD card adapter, microphone for audible commentary to video, operation manual, tripod, internal and external shipping cases.

A special note about ergonomics. This camera is designed with an ergonomic harness. The harness allows the user to have full availability of the arms and eyesight. The harness, most importantly, allows the operator to maintain a correct standing posture eliminating fatigue. By combining all of these features, the operator can work longer, take notes, avoid tripping, squinting, and most importantly work more accurately. The operator vision is on the all of the equipment and the DayCor screen, not just on the item being viewed. This reduces missed equipment during the survey. The hands are free to take notes or make radio or cell phone calls.

There is a rental program for an excellent software database tool that makes it easy to organize results and have professional maintenance reports. All reports are in HTML format for portability, sharing and for future access after the rental of the software ends. The software can be used to track daily, weekly, monthly or annual trends for the surveyed electrical equipment.
