The CR500 kVARC capacitive load bank is used with a resistive load bank to create a leading power factor.
This is an outdoor unit designed to provide 500 kVARC capacitive. Great for meeting that new tough commissioning specification in a safe and reliable way.
Product Specifications
The CR500 kVARC load bank is an outdoor unit designed to provide 500 kVARC capacitive. The total load capability and load step resolution are 500 kVARC @ 480 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hz, 50 kVARC resolution.
Each capacitor has fused protection sized for each load step, the 50 kVARC load steps are fused @ 100 amperes and the 100 kVARC load steps are fused @ 200 amperes. All of the capacitors are equipped with current limiting reactors to limit the current during capacitor switching. The capacitors are designed andconnected in a Delta configuration and are quipped with internal bleed resistors.
The unit is equipped with a control power transformer to reduce the bus voltage to 120 VAC for control power.
Exhaust vents are located at the top of the unit.
The CR500 kVARC is equipped with forklift skids for convenient transportation.
