Medium Voltage Resistive 5 MW Load Bank
ComRent®’s CR922 A is a custom engineered load bank designed to meet the testing requirements of medium voltage generators at a power factor of 1.0
The CR922 A load bank is designed to absorb a balanced resistive load at a unity power factor. The total load capacity of the load bank is 5 MW, 13,800V, 3-phase, 60 Hz and 4 MW, 4160V, 3-phase, 60 Hz. Unit will operate at lower voltages with standard voltage derating.
This unit can be connected in series to test medium voltage loads up to 50MW or more, without transformers.
The CR922 A operates from an external 480V, 3-phase, 60 Hz power source. It requires 200 amps per unit; two CR922 A load banks can be powered from one 400 amp source.
