"Patriot" 700 kW Portable Load Bank
The Patriot load bank is a portable, self-contained unit that ideal for routine load testing of stand-by diesel generating systems at remote sites or for factory production line testing of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), turbines or engine generator sets. This model provides resistive loading up to 700 kW at either 240/480 VAC or 600 VAC.
The load bank features vertical air discharge and a narrow width to fit through standard doorways and freight elevators. 110/120 VAC power is required for control power. Fan may operate from 208–240/480 VAC internal or external 3-phase, 60 Hz power source.
The LPV 700, or "Patriot" load bank incorporates state-of-the-art design features, including a heavy gauge aluminized steel enclosure, continuously supported resistor elements on stainless steel rods, and an industrial blower.
Product Specifications
CONSTRUCTION: Rugged aluminized steel enclosure with hinged front doors for easy access and quick connections. Two fixed and two lockable swivel casters provide mobility. Forklift channels provided.
CONTROL POWER: The Patriot load bank requires control power of 110/120 VAC, single-phase, 50/60 Hz.
COOLING: The resistive elements are air-cooled by an integrally mounted 3-phase blower, switch selectable for external source or from source under test.
CONTROLS/METERING: The operator control panel includes a MASTER LOAD ON-OFF switch, LOAD STEP ON-OFF industrial toggle switches, BLOWER ON-OFF push buttons with a BLOWER FAILURE light, and BLOWER AND LOAD VOLTAGE selector switches. A digital power metering unit to measure volts, amps, frequency, and kW is standard.
SAFETY CIRCUITS: The Patriot load bank features branch circuit fusing, wrong voltage protection (dual voltage units only), motor overload protection, overtemperature protection and cooling air loss protection. An operational safety manual is included with every unit.
