450 kVAR Reactive Load Bank
The R450 portable reactive load bank provide inductive loads which can be used to obtain a 0.8 lagging power factor loading of generators to 400 or 600 kW, 480 VAC, 50 or 60 Hz. Each load bank provides 3.75 kVAR load resolution.
The R450 has 450 kVAR capacity. 600 VAC also available.
- Automatic dual voltage changeover, single switch, electronically controlled, 208-240/416-480 VAC.

CONSTRUCTION: This load bank is rated NEMA type 3R outdoor weatherproof.
CONTROL POWER: Internal or external—control power transformer internal to load bank, external fan power cord with plug supplied. 120 VAC.
COOLING: The load elements in these load banks are cooled by a forced air system consisting of 2 10” cooling fans (MOT1 and MOT2) creating a 2,000 CFM airfl ow.
CONTROLS/METERING: The control panel contains the following components: 1) voltage selector switch, 2) control power switch, 3) normal operation and cooling failure indicator lamps, 4) master load and load step switches.
SAFETY CIRCUITS: The R300 contains automatic safety systems which disconnect the test source load when any condition is present which could damage the system or pose a danger to the operator. The load bank must be turned off and then on again before the load can be re-applied.
